HVAC INSULATION - Technical Insulation for HVAC Systems

PAROC technical insulation solutions support efficient, reliable HVAC systems in both new construction and renovation projects. The range is developed for ventilation and piping applications where controlled temperatures, moisture management and regulatory compliance are essential, to meet today’s performance demands and local regulations. All solutions are based on non-combustible PAROC Stonewool.

PAROC insulation helps maintain stable HVAC system temperatures and reduces heat losses and unwanted temperature changes. When combined with a water vapour barrier, the insulation products help reduce condensation risk and moisture-related damage. PAROC also offers specific passive fire protection solutions, tested and classified according to relevant EN standards, and are designed to provide fire resistance in defined applications when installed as part of an approved system.

PAROC provides technical insulation solutions for a wide range of HVAC applications.

Design your HVAC system with non-combustible PAROC Stonewool

Stone wool withstands high temperatures, is an inherently fire‑resilient material, remains dimensionally stable throughout its service life, is moisture- resistant, and helps to improve energy efficiency. These material properties are engineered into every PAROC Stonewool technical insulation product and enable reliable HVAC system performance, when the technical insulation is properly designed and installed.

For specifiers and decision makers, choosing stone wool insulation means reliable performance over the entire service life, while supporting greater comfort and more energy‑efficient buildings.

PAROC Product compliance and regulatory conformity for HVAC insulation

PAROC technical insulation products for HVAC applications are CE-marked in accordance with EN 14303, the harmonised European standard for factory‑made mineral wool insulation. Under EN 14303, product performance is tested and declared in a Declaration of Performance (DoP), which is used in construction projects to verify compliance with the properties specified in the design. Declared characteristics typically include reaction to fire and thermal conductivity at different temperatures. PAROC products are named and classified based on their intended application and performance purpose, supporting clear specification and correct product selection for HVAC systems. All product documentation is available on the respective product pages.

Design and Specification support for HVAC Insulation

Correctly specified and installed HVAC installations is important for the buildings longlivety, function, energy efficiency and the building’s users living comfort. Different insulation products have different properties in terms of energy efficiency and space requirements, which is why correct specification based on project and system specific conditions is essential. Selecting correct thickness is essential to achieve the desired performance. We always recommend specifying insulation based on project‑specific and system‑specific conditions.

To support HVAC designers and HVAC engineers, PAROC provides:

These tools help ensure correct insulation thickness, regulatory compliance, and optimal system performance.

PAROC HVAC Insulation Solutions Support Energy-Efficient Buildings

Technical insulation is sometimes treated as a cost item, even though HVAC systems account for a significant share of a building’s energy use. Proper insulation reduces heat transfer, supports stable system temperatures, and improves overall system efficiency. By limiting energy losses, HVAC insulation plays a key role in lowering building energy consumption.

In renovation projects specifically, effective HVAC insulation also enhances equipment performance, as systems do not need to work as hard to maintain the desired temperature. Well-insulated HVAC systems help eliminate draughts and uneven temperatures, contributing to improved indoor comfort.

Correct insulation design and thickness are therefore decisive for long-term HVAC efficiency, system reliability, and performance throughout the service life of the installation.
