paroc ZEROfix is a unique, self-supporting fastening method for the external insulation of exterior walls. The fastening method consists of horizontal and angled façade screws and provides a very robust construction with minimal thermal bridges. The façade screw is specially designed to attach battens to the outside of the insulation layer and thus enable an air gap between the insulation and the façade cladding. It is designed to transfer wind and vertical loads to the load-bearing structure. The screws carry the weight of both the insulation and the exterior façade cladding. The horizontal façade screws transmit the wind load from the façade cladding, and the angled façade screws transfer the vertical load. At Träkronan, 200 mm paroc WAS 35, Climate Disc ZERO was chosen as insulation in combination with 50 mm paroc Cortex, which has an integrated wind protection membrane. Thanks to the large size of the insulation slabs and the fact that the system consists of few parts, the solution is both cost effective and time efficient to install.
