In the design of buildings, information flooding in from all directions can increase the designer's pain: how to choose the most suitable insulation for each site, when there are numerous different solutions on the market and the amount of information available corresponds to that?

OC Paroc aims to respond to these challenges by offering concrete help with building design. On our website, we have compiled a comprehensive selection of tools and instructions that are intended to serve designers and make their work easier. Conveniently towards high performing construction

Many of the tools on OC Paroc's website serve the goal of supporting energy efficiency, material transparency, and lifecycle-based emission reductions in building design, which is important to designers, and which is also a key priority for us.

Our toolbox includes, among other things, the PAROC CO2 Calculator, which can be used to easily calculate the carbon footprint of building insulation. The calculator reports the CO2 equivalent emissions in different units (m2, kg and m3), which makes it possible to compare the products with each other. The calculator also shows the density of the product as well as the thermal resistance in the selected product thickness.

PAROC® Calculus, on the other hand, is a technical insulation calculation program for dimensioning thermal insulation for different HVAC and Process Industry applications e.g. pipes, ventilation ducts and process industry tanks. With PAROC Calculus it is also possible to calculate the heat loss for insulated and uninsulated valves and flanges, which usually increases the risk of heat loss.

One such tool is the easy-to-use PAROC Structure Selector, which is available in our local websites.

PAROC Structure Selector is a designer’s tool that supports efficient insulation and structural design across a wide range of building applications. It enables structural engineers, architects and other construction professionals to quickly find ready-made CAD structural drawings based on application or structure, fire and sound absorption classification or U-value, which indicates thermal insulation performance.

By providing clear, up-to-date structural solutions in CAD format, the PAROC Structure Selector simplifies decision-making and helps designers move smoothly from early design to detailed planning.

The ProdLib BuildUp tool supports structural design by enabling the creation of structure types from various materials and products. Automatically updated product data ensures that designers always work with the latest information, helping to streamline the design process. The ProdLib BuildUp tool is available in Finland, Sweden and Lithuania. 

Designers are also supported by our insulation design guides, which provide clear instructions for key aspects such as fire and moisture resistant products in different structural solutions.
