Minimize heat loss and thermal bridges

The insulation of pipes with elbows can be the weak point of insulation systems and additionally pose an increased risk for CUI. They therefore require extra attention and special insulation solutions to guarantee a consistent insulation and minimize heat loss and thermal bridges. The key to well-functioning operation and low maintenance costs is therefore correctly dimensioned and professionally installed, gap-free pipe insulation.

Complete insulation system for indoor and outdoor applications

With PAROC® Clad system, we offer a water-proof product line consisting of pipe sections, elbow solutions, lamella mats and accessories. The Clad facing is water resistant (according to PN-EN 1928:2002 method B), UV resistant (when installed with Paroc® Clad Alu tape), resistant to salt water, high puncture resistance (tested according to EN 14477) and resistant against hail storms class HW3.

Due to its special facing, PAROC® Clad system eliminates the need for additional cladding or prefabrication resulting in savings on costs and installation time and enabling an easy installation even under high wind loads.

For high temperatures

Our products can provide long-lasting performance also at high temperatures and are resistant even at service temperatures of up to 700 °C, ensuring smooth operation.

Precise, fabricated and proper insulation solutions

With PAROC® Pro Segments, PAROC® Pro Bends and PAROC® Pro Curves, we aim to offer dimensionally precise, prefabricated insulation components that have been specially designed for high-performance pipe elbow insulation. The installation is not only technically effective, but also quick and economical, as no additional support is required for the external cladding.

All our straight pipes and elbows are available as “WR” version (water-repellent) and have an average tested water absorption that is 10 times lower than the toughest known standard (EN13472). In combination with PAROC® CUI Spacers they form a strong alliance to minimize the risk of corrosion. Learn more about CUI here >

Broad product range for best performance

The PAROC® Pro Segments (WR), PAROC® Pro Bends (WR) and PAROC Pro Curve (WR) products are dimensionally accurate and compatible with our pipe sections.

PAROC® Pro Bend (WR) 100 is designed specifically for small and medium-sized pipe elbow insulation. It comes with a standard radius of 1.5D. PAROC® Pro Curves (WR) are our solution for the medium and large pipe elbows, those products are produced with a standard radius 1.5D in 45° and 90° angles. PAROC® Pro Segments (WR) are conceived as an insulation solution for large pipe elbows. We produce 90° angled pipe elbows with a standard radius of 1.5D and 2.5D. On request, we can produce segments or bends for other radii of curvature and insulation thicknesses.

PAROC® Pro Curve (WR), Pro Bend (WR) and Pro Segment (WR) and PAROC® CUI spacers form a strong alliance that helps to minimize the risk of CUI and saves valuable installation time. PAROC® CUI Spacers are considered one of the optimal solutions for maintaining distance between the pipe and the stone wool pipe insulation.

Double-layer insulation for less thermal loss

We recommend double-layer insulation to optimally insulate the entire pipework when the calculated insulation thickness exceeds 160 mm or for operating temperatures above 250 °C, e. g. for superheated steam pipes. The same two-layer (DL) solution is available for PAROC® Pro Segments (WR) product range.

Based on our certifications to ISO 14025, ISO 21930 and EN 15804, we have received the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) numbers NEPD-4100-3121-EN and NEPD-4101-3121-EN.

PAROC Calculus 

PAROC Calculus is a technical insulation calculation program for dimensioning thermal insulation for various applications in the HVAC and Process industries.

PAROC Calculus features:

• Easy-to-use interface; works on PCs, tablets, and cellphones

• Calculations of heat losses, surface temperatures, and temperature drop in pipes, ventilation ducts, process industry tanks, valves, and flanges

• Simple input of pipe diameters and duct dimensions (predefined)

• Correcting for thermal bridges of pipe and duct suspensions

• Print calculations as a PDF. Multiple simultaneous printouts in PDF are possible

• Saving projects and customizations (for registered users)

• Calculations based on the ISO 12241:2022 standard
