Pipe Sections made of stone wool from PAROC
Pipe Sections made of stone wool from PAROC
PAROC® pipe sections are made of non-combustible PAROC® Stonewool and manufactured to fit standard pipe dimensions. The rigid form supports uniform insulation thickness and reduces the need for on-site cutting and adjustment.
Pipe sections are a pre-formed insulation solution for HVAC and industrial pipe systems, designed for controlled installation on straight pipe runs while supporting consistent thermal performance.
For a complete pipe insulation system, complementary components such as bends, curves, and segments are used to ensure continuity across changes in direction and geometry.
The range includes:
- HVAC range: AluCoat pipe sections for HVAC applications + bends for elbows
- PRO range: AluCoat, Clad, INS (pre-insulated) sections, and water-repellent (WR) pipe sections for industrial applications as well as bends, curves & segments for elbows
Why choose PAROC Pipe sections for HVAC and Process Industry?
PAROC® pipe sections are designed for HVAC and process industry applications where thermal performance, condensation control, fire performance, and long-term durability are required.
- Condensation control: The reinforced aluminium foil facing in AluCoat and Clad functions as a water vapour barrier, reducing the risk of condensation on pipe surfaces. When combined with compatible sealing tapes, airtight sealing of joints, seams, and penetrations supports barrier continuity and limits water vapour transmission.
- Wide range of dimensions: Pipe sections are available in a wide range of diameters and thicknesses, supporting insulation of standard pipe sizes, including elbows when used with system components.
- Consistent insulation thickness: The pre-formed geometry supports uniform insulation thickness around the pipe, helping to maintain thermal performance and reduce the risk of thermal bridges.
- Reduced heat loss across joints: PAROC® Pro Lock is designed to reduce heat loss through overlapping insulation layers and interlocking joints (Z‑Lock), supporting insulation continuity at joints, consistent thermal performance, and improved energy efficiency compared to conventional single-layer solutions.
- Durability for demanding industrial applications: PRO pipe sections are used in industrial applications where insulation may be exposed to elevated temperatures, mechanical impact or environmental conditions. Water-repellent (WR) pipe sections limit moisture uptake, while Clad pipe sections include an outer facing for external exposure, including UV.
- Efficient installation: With a standard length of 1.2 m, PAROC® Pipe Sections can reduce the number of joints compared to shorter insulation lengths. The self-adhesive overlap with finger-lift tape supports controlled closing during installation. Clad pipe sections provide an integrated surface layer, serving as an alternative to separate metal cladding applied on top of insulation.
- System solutions for pipe insulation: PAROC® pipe sections are complemented by components such as HVAC Bends, PRO Bends, PRO Curves, PRO Lock, and PRO Segment, enabling continuity across straight sections and directional changes.
When to use Pipe sections?
When to use Pipe sections?
Non-combustible pipe sections are used in HVAC and industrial applications where an insulation solution is required to achieve consistent insulation thickness on standard pipe dimensions, supporting reliable performance. For full pipe system continuity, pipe sections are complemented with elbows, bends, and segments, contributing to efficient system performance.
Conditional Requirements | Corresponding Pipe Sections |
|---|---|
High condensation risk | Non-perforated AluCoat and Clad facing supports water vapour control and system tightness, when combined with sealed joints with recommended accessories as tape and spatula |
Straight pipe geometries with standard diameters | Pre-formed PAROC® pipe sections provide a precise fit and uniform insulation thickness |
Pipe systems with changes in direction (elbows, bends) | Complementary components such as bends, segments and curves, ensure continuity of insulation |
Fast and efficient installation is required | 1.2 m pipe sections with self-adhesive overlap and finger-lift tape support efficient installation by reducing the number of joints. |
Industrial mechanical durability required | PRO pipe sections are used in industrial applications where mechanical resistance under elevated temperatures is required. WR (water-repellent) stone wool limits moisture uptake in exposed conditions. |
Outdoor installation exposed to weather conditions | PRO pipe sections with Clad facing are suitable for outdoor (and indoor) installations where a finished outer surface is required, including exposure to weather and UV. |
High risk for heat loss at joints | PAROC® Pro Lock pipe sections support insulation continuity at joints, helping reduce heat loss. |
Sustainability & indoor air quality documentation | M1, EUCEB, CE, and EPD documentation available |
