paroc recommends the use of stone wool Pro Slabs (WR) or Pro (Wired) Mats (WR), which comply with the specified geometries and dimensions for heat exchangers and represent the ideal solution. paroc® Pro Wired Mats (WR) are an ideal solution for smaller diameter exchangers, while for larger heat exchangers, stone wool Pro Slabs (WR) with different densities can be used depending on the required temperatures. Please consult the respective product data sheet for more information. Our stone wool insulation solutions are specifically designed to prevent thermal bridges and heat loss in the process industry. In addition, we provide water-repellent (WR) products, including wired mats, mats, and slabs, all of which have excellent properties such as very low water absorption. Our goal is to reduce the risk of corrosion, ultimately lowering maintenance needs and extending the service life of the equipment. All our products for the insulation of heat exchangers are available as WR (water-repellent) products. Since their average water absorption is 10 times lower than the toughest known standard (EN1607), they provide excellent protection to minimize the risk of CUI (corrosion under insulation).
